Our church had their annual family camp this July 4th weekend! I really enjoyed serving as a counselor for the jr. high/high school girls during camp. Their desire to grow and know more about Him was so encouraging.
The theme this year was Hebrews 6:11-12:
We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
As always, we also had a lot of fun play time with the church fam!
I was really blessed to be serving some great girls during camp. Sometimes, after doing so much, serving becomes exhausting, and it becomes more duty-focused than joy-filled giving. I become like a robot.
God was so good to me this camp by granting me much so much joy in being with these girls and seeing how HE is working in their lives. Even in learning to meet the girls where they are at, God humbled me in showing me how He is working (planting, watering, and growing) and I am merely a vessel. As John said: He must increase, and I must decrease. for I am sinful and wrong in my ways, but His ways are the good, perfect, and righteous ones. Serving this year was so refreshing, and joy-filled. God is ohhhhhhhhh so good!
