serving in AWANA was an unexpected blessing of 2015-2016. if i am honest with you, i didn’t start the year off with the greatest willing heart of service, but God did his God thing, and changed my heart. He showed me how to love the kids one Friday night at a time.
every other friday night, Camel and i had come and spent our friday nights clobbered by these lil’ crazies and i love them so much. i have seen these kids learn to hide God’s Word in their hearts, sing hymns and praises, learn of God’s love for them, and have that beginning foundation of Christ in their lives. He has done an amazing work for His lil’ kiddos.
AWANA is a kid’s ministry program teaching kids to know, love, and serve the Lord through worship, Scripture memory, Bible lessons/activities, games, and snacks. it’s crazy to see kindergartners and first graders able to memorize John 3:16 and Isaiah 53:6 all by themselves! seriously hiding God’s words in their hearts! (my own Scripture memory skillz are put to shame 
).
i had expected to continue serving in AWANA in 2016-2017, but God had different plans. so, as tribute, may i present to you, AWANA 2015-2016.
lots of worship, Bible lesson, and game time with the most high energy kids in the world.
not gonna lie, but we have the best snacks ever at AWANA. these photos don’t do it justice. i was too busy stuffing my face to take photos.
you see faces like this, and you can’t help but remember how much Jesus loved the children.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
